What is my username and password?

Your Moodle login is the same username and password you use to log in to the College computers.  

Please note that the username is NOT your email address.  Use the same username and password that you log onto the college computers ie: 

Learners: your username is your Badge ID ie 123456 and your password (same password for the college computers/Teams/Email etc)

Staff:  your username is similar to jbloggs or bloggsj or joe.bloggs (new format) and your network password.  Please ensure it does not autofill your username or password as it may input an old or cached password. 

When you type in your username and password, check the password is correct by clicking on the Eye symbol before trying to login.  If you see an error message, try again with your username and password, clicking on the eye to check everything is correct before continuing.

I can't log in...

Oh no!  This could be for a number of reasons:

  • Please check you are using the correct username and password
  • Your password may have expired
  • You've forgotten your password

Note: You can try using Google Chrome and Incognito Mode, to do this open Google Chrome, click on the ellipses (three dots) in the top right of the Google Chrome window and select New Incognito Window, type in https://moodle.cymoedd.ac.uk and log in with your username and password, click on the eye to check the password is correct before you press enter.  If you are still having problems then you may need to reset your password.  

If you need to reset your password please use SAM, the Self Service Password Reset tool.

Note: If you are having any problems with SAM or cannot remember your secret question answer, you will need to contact your teacher and ask them to put a request on the IT helpdesk asking what your secret answer is, or they could put a request in for a new password for you.

If you are a member of staff you will need to contact IT or ask your DA to put a request on the IT Helpdesk for you.
